This new Meetup Group is simply to encourage fellow riders to gather for casual rides on the SART (Santa Ana River Trail), starting in Yorba Linda (North Orange County), heading southward toward the ocean, then riding north on the SART, back home. Many of us will be riding road bikes, but ALL types of bicycles and bicyclists are welcome. (Before buying my road bike I rode up and down SART dozens of times and hundreds of miles on my full-suspension mountain bike...you should have see …

Welcome to Out-Spoke-n, a new bike shop specializing in road, mountain and comfort cycling. If you’re like us - folks who ride for many reasons - you’ll feel right at home here. Our two-wheeled doctrine: Walking into a bike shop should be a pleasant, helpful, informative experience. It should never make you feel inadequate, no matter what your riding style or skill level may be. As cyclists, we’ve run into high walls of attitude and haughtiness that shroud a lot of bike shops. We’ve encountered …

This is a no-drop road ride in and around the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Rides are from 25 - 45 miles but since you are never too far from the start you can cut the ride short if you need to. There are lots of steep hills in Palos Verdes, which is great for training. There are a wide range of abilities in the group so you can almost always find someone your speed to ride with. Periodic regroup points mean that the group never gets spread that far apart. After the ride there is free coffee and snack …

The ride is led by PV Bicycle Center Service Manager Shawn Charlton. He …
WELCOME! Meet local people to ride and socialize with - the idea is to get together usually on a Saturday or Sunday morning for a half day or a full day ride in the surrounding areas of Orange County. This is for folks who are comfortable on a bike but do not need to go crazy on a MTX track or otherwise. From beginner+ level to intermediate riders and those who just simply enjoy being out there. (I rode motocross as a kid and just recently at 35 got back into riding trails and OHV areas). Lookin …

Join us for a ride and enlarge your social circle, whatever your relationship status. We have a consistent, broad range of rides that include Friday nights, weekend day trips, and overnighters both in and out of state. Our group is unique because …
Get off the couch and get moving! Meet other people like yourself who are just now getting out there to exercise. Meet local friends and help one another stay motivated! Join us in walking at the park or wetlands, easy cycling along the shore, short hikes in the hills, or playful kayaking in the harbor. Perhaps you'll even find a workout/gym partner! This group is for people new to exercising or just getting back to exercise after a lapse. We may not have rock-hard bodies, but we do have lots o …
We get together to create an abnormally high concentration of people who know a thing or two about bikes and are willing to share this knowledge with courtesy and patience. We then throw in the tools and equipment to get the job done and end up with a pretty excellent situation where you can fix your bike while learning how to do it yourself. A lot of people find that getting this hands-on experience helps them be more in touch with their mechanical steed, so that the mutually beneficial human …

… We respect pretty much all safe riders on the road but this group was formed as a haven for our specific type of motorcycle. Some memebrs here have metric sport bikes at home that are taken out with other groups. Most of us have an appreciation for all motorcycle brands & styles. So dont get bent on that aspect. The criteria is actually in place to cap the field. Because the goal is not to be the most diverse and gigantic group. It's always safer to ride with a smaller pack of similar bikes an …

I have just moved here from NJ and really haven't found a sportbike group that meets regularly so I decided to start my own. This group is really going to be about ideas from all members on suggested routes. I would like to see all of what SoCal has to offer as far as Canyons and great motorcycle roads. I have been on a few rides with some other groups up to Newcomb's ranch as well as the Rock Store and I am hooked! The roads out here are far superior to the roads on the East Coast. I look …
